Scotch Bonnet Red CK - Seeds

A relative to the Habanero, it is one of the most popular chillies in the Caribbean. It is popularly used in both Caribbean and African cuisine and is a great chilli for sauces, chutneys and to flavour any kind of meat or fish. It can either be cooked or eaten fresh. It is also known by other names, such as goat pepper and Bahama Mama.

Fun Fact: The Scotch Bonnet was given this name as its shape resembles that of a Scotsman’s bonnet, formally known as a Tam O-shanter hat. 

Flavour: Initially has an unusually sweet, tropical flavour, with tomato and apple and cherry undertones, quickly followed by intense heat. It has a fruity flavour like the Habanerno, but is slightly sweeter.
